How it works

  1. 1

    Choose your PDF

Pick a text-based PDF — a bank statement, invoice, or report with tables.

  2. 2

    Extract

The tool reads the text positions and groups them into rows and columns.

  3. 3

    Tune and download

If columns look wrong, nudge the row and column sliders, then download the CSV.

Why PDF-to-CSV matters

Bank statements, invoices, parts lists, financial reports — important data trapped in PDF format. Pasting into Excel never works. Dedicated bank-statement converters charge $30-50/month for the same job. EasyPDFViewer gives you the extraction for free, right in your browser, so your financial data never leaves your device.

How EasyPDFViewer compares

Paid services (bank-statement-converter.com, pdftables.com, Nanonets) use ML and run $25-99/mo. Our free tool uses layout heuristics — great for cleanly-formatted PDFs, less perfect on messy ones. If accuracy matters more than cost, those paid services are a good complement. For most use cases, the free tool handles it.

Frequently asked questions

What PDFs work best?

Text-based PDFs with clear table layout — bank statements, invoices, financial reports, parts lists.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

Not yet. Scanned (image-only) PDFs need OCR, which is on the roadmap.

Why do my columns look merged?

Lower the "Column gap" slider so smaller gaps still count as new columns. Each PDF has different spacing.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Extraction runs entirely in your browser with pdfjs-dist. Your data stays local — important for financial documents.

How is this different from paid tools?

Paid services like bank-statement converters use ML to clean rows. Our free tool uses layout heuristics and works great for well-formatted tables; it may need a sliders tweak for messy ones.

Can I combine all pages into one CSV?

Yes — "Download all pages as CSV" merges them with a page marker row between.
